  1. There are many excellent dentists in Mexico. In border towns , some are good, some are not. In border towns they charge more than in the rest of Mexico. Where I live in southern Mexico a post is $100.00 usd and a root canal is $250 usd A crown is $100 to $150 for a molar. A small filling is $25.00 and a large one is $40.00 . These prices are for highly qualified, excellent dentists in th state of Veracruz. Check out the dentist. Get referrals if you can, compare prices...take a good look at the certificates on his wall. Because a lot of people go to border towns for dental work, you need to be selective.
  2. Any country is cheaper for dentistry than the USA. The Mexican dentistry is usually very good. I personally think Mexicans are very artistic and clever with their hands. I've just had my top two front teeth crowned with porcelain, it cost 11,000 pesos for the two. I had a lower molar post and crown last year for 5,000 pesos. So I'm quite pleased. My friend had her face-lift done here in Celaya for $5,000 US dollars and she looks wonderful, it would have been $20 K or $30K in USA. She stayed at my house, had 2 nights in the hospital, and came back to my house for two weeks and then returned to the States.
  3. I just had a bone graft done here in Acapulco. I paid approx. $280.00 US dollars. Two years ago I had one done in the US and paid $800.00. This is a huge difference and this periodontist has taken excellent care of me. I just saw her today for the second follow up and will again in about six more days for the final follow up. I'm very satisfied. She also speaks English and French.
