How can I become a dentist on the armed forces?
I've always wanted to be a dentist, but I also think I lack the discipline to make it through dental school. I think that an experience in the armed forces wll get me to the level of disciple I need to make it. My queston is what do I do to get any branch of the armed forces to train me as a dentist?

- No, first you become a dentist then enlist. If you need a crutch to get you through anything, lots of luck. You just need to grow up and learn self-discipline.
- first join, check out your local recruiting office look at all of the branches see which one is the right one for you. you have to get through basic training first
- you can earn some bucks for college while serving some time in the military, but the armed services are not going to send you to dental school. Not even undergraduate school for that matter.
- The military has programs to help people with the financial part of Dental school. After completing school and becoming certified the military will accept you in as an officer in the medical corps. If you want to enlist and not be an officer you will be a hospital corpsman and be trained as a dental assistant vice a dentist.
- Sorry - they won't do it. You have to complete your schooling and earn your license before you enlist. But if you want to learn self-discipline, a tour of duty as Marine will teach ya that! Do that first and then go to dental college.
